Iran has the capacity for a 20 to 40 percent growth per year to trade with world countries.

Birjand, June 16, IRNA – The managing director of Trade Promotion Organization for agricultural products exports said on Thursday that about $900m worth of agricultural products were exported in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21).

Speaking to reporters, Mahmoud Bazaari said that the figure shows a 2-percent increase in value and a 20-percent growth in weight.

He added that the exports goods consisted of vegetables, dried fruits, flowers, and plants.

He noted that the value of exports was about $35 billion last year, in which agricultural products had an approximate 6.5-billion-dollar share.
